Hello all! There's not much different to add for this upcoming week, but I wanted to fill you in on few things!

First, we are running out of emergency snacks. When a student forgets their morning snack, I am able to give them something from our "emergency stash" so they won't be hungry. We are dangerously low, so if you could donate any pretzels, granola bars, or crackers of some sort that would be greatly appreciated!

Second, thank you ALL who donated school supplies during our mid-year check! You guys rock! If you havent sent in a spiral notebook with your child, please do so.

Science: Our test will be Thursday the 21st! Students have their study guide already, and are also allowed to take home their science text books to help them study.

(the text books are checked out to them, so they can go home anytime you desire)

Reading, Writing, and Grammar are all the same this week- we are learning how to compare and contarst texts on the same topic, how to write "opinion pieces", and how to change verbs to show past tense (that don't just end with 'ed').

Math Group 1: Continuing Unit 4, "Extending Base Ten Knowledge" with a focus on adding up to four 2-digit numbers. (for example: 24 + 16 + 51 + 22 = ___)

Math Group 2: Continuing Grade 3, Unit 1. Our focus is rounding and understanding place value.
