What's Coming Up?

Hey everyone! Here is an update on what we're learning about, thank you for all of the support you provide at home to help our students be the best they can be!

Social Studies- What are the 5 regions of Georgia and it's important rivers? Looking at maps and talking about what they see is a great addition to this skill.

Reading- How do characters respond to important events in the story? You can help with this at home by asking questions after reading each night.

Writing- How do we write small moment stories?

Grammar- When do we use capital letters? Practice by searching for capitals in reading and in the real world! (store names, citites, calendars, etc.)

Math- What is place value, and how do we regroup when adding/subtracting? Check out the second grade site for great math resources.
