Growing Seeds & Responsibility!

Hey everyone! I hope you are excited for spring!
During science we are learning about plants and life cycles. Every student has planted lima beans and we are hoping they will grow! Aside from science, I believe this also teaches students about responsibility and care. So, on Friday, each child will take home their lima bean plant to personally take care of during spring break. I want this to be an opportunity for them to show that they can be responsible for taking care of their own plant. It should be their job to remember to water it each day, and let it sit in sunlight. Putting the plants in a window works best, and only a small amount of water will work. Too much water will drown it!
I would love your support in this week long project. If the plant does not grow, that is okay! That happens sometimes. The most important thing is that each child takes care of their plant- sunlight, water, and making sure it is safe. J
They should bring them back the first Monday when we come back to school! It will be VERY exciting to see how much everyone’s plant has grown over the week!
Thank you so much for always supporting our learning!
